CBC Church San Antonio Pastor

The main pastor of Community Bible Church is Dr. Ed Newton. He works to start and celebrate life transformation in the name of Jesus. In January 2016, Dr. Ed Newton took over as Community Bible Church’s Lead Pastor. He is called to evangelize, pastor, teach the Bible, and build relationships with individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Ed Newton is the father of London, Lola, Liv, and Lawson, and the spouse of his college love, Stephanie.

Ed started his connection with Christ in his high school years. His personal experience of dramatic redemption has given him the capacity to meet others and provide them with support throughout difficult times.

As his senior year of high school, Ed discovered God had called him to the ministry. He started his academic career at Florida’s Clearwater Christian College. He later obtained master’s degrees in theology and religious studies. He has a doctoral degree in pulpit presentation and explanatory preaching.
